Dave Lang has lived all over Canada. He was a mainstay of the Regina live music scene around the turn of the century but has since moved on to other horizons, most recently, studying jazz theory and guitar in Victoria, British Columbia. Prior to that he was the musician in residence at the vaudevillian Lyric Theatre in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
Dave’s music explores a variety of genres including roots, folk, rock, jazz and country; genres which are all reflected in the three albums he has released to date. He is currently making jazz music that is bringing that genre back to the bars, drunks and drug addicts that first breathed life into it. Referential without being reverential, he writes new standards from a modern Canadian perspective. Most of all, he loves writing songs and loves having fun which makes for a very entertaining live show.
“Dave Lang’s brand of roots, folk, rock and country is always fun and sometimes very funny, but quick wit and jocularity seem never
to detract from some excellent songwriting.” - Leader-Post ( Gerry Krochak )

Linda McRae is a robust singer and an imaginative and uniquely gifted songwriter who was a member of the celtic-folk-rock band Spirit of the West from 1988 to 1996. The band earned two platinum and three gold records during her tenure. She played her final show with SOTW on New Year’s Eve 1996 and left amicably to pursue a solo career. Since then she has released three critically acclaimed recordings.
Linda has recently turned her attention to the study of traditional roots music, its history and its traditions, and is working on her next recording to be released later this year. In concert, her evocative and powerful voice is well supported by her acoustic finger-style and flat-picked rhythm guitar, accordion, clawhammer banjo, dulcimer and Porchboard bass. Linda currently makes her home in Nashville, Tenn.
“Linda is one of the true, soulful pioneers of honest roots music. Her singing and playing brings honour to her heroes
and to her friends and fans.” - Colin Linden - Garmmy Nominee, Producer, Guitarist. ( Emmy Lou Harris, Krauss & Plant )
“Linda’s absolute love of traditional roots music runs deep down into the Appalachian dirt, and it shows in everything she does. Total commitment!” - Gurf Morlix - Award-winning Performing Songwriter, Producer, Guitarist. ( Mary Gauthier, Lucinda Williams )
