Jory Nash is a Toronto-based independent folk artist who has the unique ability to meld many different musical styles into his own version of contemporary folk music. Jory has mastered various styles and instruments. He plays acoustic guitar, both finger-style and flat-pick. He also plays piano and five-string banjo and compliments his playing with his warm, inviting voice. With thoughtful lyrics and intricate melodies, he draws the audience close. With easy humour, engaging banter and colourful stories, he wins them over.

Jory is a four-time Canadian Folk Music Award nominee, a Folk Music Ontario Songs From The Heart winner, and a Penguin Eggs magazine Album of the Year recipient. His music has been featured on television and radio, especially on various nationwide CBC programs. He has recorded eight albums over the last twenty years and is currently recording his ninth which is slated for release this March.

He tours regularly across Canada and the United States playing folk festivals, house concerts, folk clubs and soft-seat theatres. A man of many hats, Jory has served on the board of the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals and as the artistic director of the Shelter Valley Folk Festival. He is also a co-founder of the annual large scale, multi-artist concert, The Way We Feel, celebrating the music of Gordon Lightfoot.

Jory has a hat collection that numbers in the hundreds and he is also a long-suffering fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
