Ottawa area singer-songwriter Brock Zeman has built a reputation as a writer of great depth and passion, through his thoughtful, often personal songs. Over the last fifteen years, he has released eleven albums featuring his distinctive brand of rough-edged country, folk, and bluegrass, sprinkled with a tinge of the blues and rock. With the ease of an experienced showman, his performances balance the grit of everyday life with a lyrical heart, painting vignettes that everyone can relate to. His songs are catchy, singable, packed with emotion - and wisdom - but are grounded in his straightforward vocals and deft acoustic guitar. His biting lyrics are reminiscent of the messages contained in the songs of John Prine and his rich, raspy vocals beg to be compared to those of Tom Waits.

Zeman has shared the stage with some of the top talent in the contemporary roots and Americana scenes, including Steve Earle, Fred Eaglesmith, Corb Lund and Toby Keith. Following the release of his debut album Cold Winter Comes in 2003, Zeman produced ten more albums in quick succession. He recently founded Mud Records, his signature label for releasing new material, including his most recent album, Pulling Your Sword Out of the Devil's Back (2015). Zeman currently makes his home in Carleton Place, Ontario.

Blair Hogan is one of the busiest session musicians in the Ottawa area, and with good reason. Hogan has a great melodic sensibility to his guitar playing. He adds to a song in a way that can be both unobtrusive and in your face at the same time. Hogan has spent the better part of the last decade as touring guitarist for award-winning singer-songwriter Zeman, as well as playing guitars, bass, mandolin and keys on many of his eleven albums. When he's not on the road with Zeman, Hogan does session work in studios all over the city, and plays rock and roll with Ottawa's Silver Creeks.

For their Regina show - fresh off a Home Routes Tour - Brock and Blair will be doing a primarily acoustic show - just the two of them - no band.
